The short version
Use Ferry to move your own files and the files people have agreed to receive. Do not use it to harm people, to break the law, or to damage the service for others.
You may not
- Send material that sexually exploits or endangers children. We report this where the law requires it.
- Send malware, or use Ferry to attack, scan or overload another system.
- Send files to people who have not agreed to receive them, including spam and unsolicited bulk sends.
- Harass, threaten or defraud anyone, or send material you have no right to share.
- Avoid limits, bypass access controls, or share an account in a way that defeats a plan.
- Run automated sends that harm the service. Agent keys are for work you have been asked to do.
What we can see, and what we cannot
Files are sealed in the browser, so we cannot read what you send. We can still act on what we can see: account details, file sizes, send counts and reports from other people. If we find a breach of these rules, we can pause held sends, remove a held file, or close an account.
Reporting a problem
If someone sent you something that breaks these rules, tell us on the feedback page. Include the link and the time you received it. We cannot open the file, but we can remove the held copy.
